In 2015, two pieces—“Pariah,” a work of historical fiction, and “Sweet Nothings,” a YA thriller—were published in The Mercury literary magazine. Vignettes from “Pariah” won The Mercury Fiction Prize and a Stephen Crane Fiction Prize.

In 2022, she established a virtual critique group with aspiring authors across the country in order to connect them with the resources and community they need to succeed. She runs the group’s monthly meetings, where members workshop submissions that range from middle grade to women’s fiction.
